Does it seem like no matter what you do to keep your young audience interested, they seem to fall back to being distracted?
Ministry talks and conferences are very solemn events. And probably because of the same reason that most young people get easily disconcerted when they are trying to listen to speeches. As we all know, young people are very active. They have active minds and they have active bodies, which also leads them to search for outputs for such disposition. That is why no matter how much they would want to listen intently to a speech, if they lose their interest, they will inevitably find something else to do.
And this is when a youth ministry speaker comes into the picture. You may ask, what makes them better than you as a speaker? Youth ministry speakers are not necessarily better simply because they speak to young people several times a week and often for hours. As a matter of fact, one may give off the very same speech that you do and the message will get across to the kids. However, they are definitely more poised than you when it comes to speaking to the youth.
Youth ministry speakers have gathered enough experience that makes them very fluent when talking in front of young people. They know the techniques in cracking jokes and inserting funny tales. They even know how to use their very own life stories to catch the attention of the audience. Youth ministry speakers know when to pause and leave their audience hanging. They also know when to be fun and when exactly to be serious. They are one amongst the youth when it comes to their level of communication, yet still intent with the degree of the message of their speech.
The main purpose as to why youth ministry assemblies and conferences are done is to pass on the knowledge to the newer members of our generation. Of course, you can go on giving off a speech even though no one else is listening to you. After all, your job is only to give an important message, and not to make your audience listen. But then, in the end, who benefits in such situation? Have you really successfully passed on to the youth the knowledge that you intended to? It might cost a little if you hire youth ministry speakers, but why worry about a small amount of money if this will be the key to achieving your purpose.
